Afterword, you can be in danger as a presumed threat by other responders. This class is designed to lay out the foundations and fundamentals necessary to employ a concealed firearm in a crisis environment. Whether a new shooter or more experienced, this class will introduce you to Odin’s training philosophy and methods. Not only do we start with the basic fundamentals of shooting, we also give you an introduction to the “Odin Mindset”. This philosophy is at the core of everything we do and train about; specifically, the pistol is just a tool, your mind is the weapon.
The speed of the class is tailored to the experience level of the participants. Topics include proper concealment and draw techniques, threat assessment and engagement, public safety considerations, immediate lifesaver skills and first responder interactions. You will also be instructed on absorbing vital information about the threat environment that can aid and assist first responders. Upon completion of the course, you should expect more confidence in your ability to not only use your firearm to minimize an unexpected threat, but also safely and confidently be prepared to allow law enforcement and first responders to assume control of the environment upon arrival. Odin Instructors strive to give our students our “Total Picture” of a threat environment, start to finish.
